Where To Look When You Need It Most

Over the last three months, I have felt and witnessed a wide range of the human experience. Moments of resilience, wellbeing, fear, heartbreak, loss, creativity, joy and connection. I’ve seen acts of kindness, anger, rage, generosity and love.

I’ve seen people come together with amazing strength and spirit and meet the moment of challenge, the unexpected, the unprecedented, with wisdom and grace.

Every one of us has had to respond to the circumstances of our life and these unprecedented times. Whether it is the impact of COVID-19 on our work, our lives & our families, a struggling economy, or most recently the unrest and mass protests in the United States and around the world.

We’ve had to respond, shift, adapt, get creative and reflect in one way or another. Perhaps in multiple ways. Perhaps over and over again. We’ve had to make decisions that involved our loved ones, our businesses and our communities. For many of these things, we have no point of reference.

This is where an understanding of our mind and our deeper nature makes a huge difference.

There is a place to look that is meaningful and helpful. A place, a space, we can rely on. It is leveraged, resourceful and tailor made for us and whatever is on our plate.

When we need it most, when it matters most, we will find it by looking within.

When we understand the nature of thought and the deeper nature of our minds we know where to look for clarity, insight and wellbeing. This simple and powerful orientation is profound in its implications yet offers us day-to-day practical insights for our lives.

This same space helps us navigate change, our relationships and those times when life demands we learn, grow and respond in ways we are not prepared for.

Wisdom resides there and the ripple effects are endless. We meet the challenge, the circumstance, with a different level of consciousness and a whole new world of possibility opens up.

From this space, we access a new level of thinking and creativity. We see a way forward where there was not one before.

I have seen evidence of this countless times over the last few months in family, friends, clients and yes, even myself. I’ve watched my brother-in-law, who owns a restaurant, find new ways to keep the business going. I’ve seen him and his community come together in creative ways to support one another. I’ve seen my nephew, a paramedic and EMT, and my niece, a nurse, show up every day on the frontlines with amazing resiliency and no question in their minds where they want to be. Good friends have lost their parents and babies have been born.

I’ve seen clients navigate their business closing, working remotely, home schooling, loss of customers for some and an increase for others. They are making tough decisions about their marriages, their homes and what is next for them.

For each of these individuals, their true nature, that deeper nature, is guiding them. It is full of insight and wisdom and comes through in real-time.

In the wake of a difficult, heartbreaking and important two weeks in our country, I have been especially grateful for this understanding. It has carried me and kept me anchored. I have gone a lot of different directions in my mind and have felt a wide range of emotions. That space inside has helped me find my way and see what is meant for me. Listening and reflecting has shown me so much. It has touched me deeply. For sure, there is more for me to see and do. Another example of our universal, deeper nature, coming through, tailor made for me.

There is no question, no circumstance that is too little or too big. No situation where our deeper nature and wisdom will not reveal itself.

The expression of this wisdom, this inner knowing, will come through you – for you. It will help you find YOUR way – not the right or wrong way.

When we look within, beyond our reactivity, beyond our thoughts and ideas, we fall into the deeper intelligence that is already there.

What is also true is, from that space within, we see our oneness. We see our true nature and our common humanity. We see through the illusion of separateness and experience the essential nature that lies beneath all of life.

My wish for all of us at this time is love, understanding & hope. That we see the circumstances of our lives and the necessary changes, from a higher level of consciousness, from the truth of who we really are. We allow the deeper intelligence of life, our common core, to guide us and take us further than we can imagine.

I’m grateful to be on the journey with you. As always, I’m so glad you’re here. Thank you for your presence and your engagement.

“There is somewhere to look that is real. It is leveraged, resourceful and tailor made for us and whatever is on our plate.”

If you go deep enough, you see things with a clarity of mind and a feeling of richness.
